Help Center & FAQ

Answers to common questions about buying, selling, rider deliveries, payments, and using SokoShamba.

Browse the Marketplace, filter by category or your county, select items, and add them to your cart. Proceed to checkout, specify your delivery address in Kenya, and pay securely via M-Pesa or card. You'll receive real-time order tracking and rider updates.
When you pay for an order, the funds are held securely in escrow until you inspect and confirm receipt of your produce. Once you click "Yes, I received it", funds are released to the farmer and delivery rider. If there's an issue with quality or quantity, you can tap "Dispute" to halt payout and request support.
Sign up or log in as a Farmer or Supplier, go to Sell a Product, upload clear photos of your produce, set your price per unit (e.g. KES 4,200 per 90kg bag), specify available stock and location. Your listing is immediately visible to thousands of registered buyers across Kenya.
As soon as the buyer confirms delivery (or automatically 72 hours after delivery confirmation), the earnings are credited directly to your SokoShamba wallet and disbursed to your registered M-Pesa phone number or bank account.
Register with a Rider / Transport account. Open your Rider Dashboard to view available delivery jobs in your county. Each job displays the pickup farm location, buyer drop-off location, cargo weight, and your delivery payout. Tap Accept Job, pick up the produce from the farmer, and navigate to the drop-off location using the interactive route map.
Delivery fees are calculated based on distance and vehicle type (Boda Boda, Pickup, Lorry). Once the order is delivered and confirmed, the delivery fee is released into your rider balance for instant M-Pesa payout.
We support M-Pesa STK Push (instant prompt on your Safaricom phone) and Debit/Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard) processed securely through Paystack.
If your STK push times out or you entered the wrong PIN, you can easily tap "Complete payment" on your Orders page to retry without losing your order details.
Our Farm Cost Calculator allows you to select your crop or livestock, acreage, and input costs (seeds, fertilizer, labor, irrigation). It generates projected yields, expected gross revenue, total production cost, and your break-even selling price before you plant.
